FoodsDiary By FoodsDiary

The traditional homemade curd, the white curd that we eat accompanied by honey or nuts, is a very versatile dairy dessert. In this article we present a reissue of the curd since we have added an extra ingredient. In this case, we have given it a nostalgic touch of childhood by betting on an ingredient that has as many lovers as detractors: cocoa powder.

Ingredients to make Colacao Curd:

  1. 1 envelope of Curd
  2. 2 tablespoons of Cola-cao
  3. 1 tablespoon of Sugar
  4. 200 milliliters of milk

How to make Colacao Curd:

  • To make the cola-cao curd, the first step is to prepare the ingredients. For this homemade curd recipe we have opted for a classic, but you can really use any soluble cocoa you have at home.
  • We put a casserole on the fire and bring the milk to a boil.
  • Meanwhile, apart we mix the cocoa powder with the contents of an envelope of homemade curd and the sugar.
  • The curd envelope should have about 12-15 grams.

Tip: If you replace the normal cola-cao with sugar-free cola-cao and the sugar with stevia, for example, you have a curd recipe suitable for diabetics.

  • At the moment in which the milk boils, we add the curd powder already mixed with the cola-cao. Stir well so that there are no lumps of cocoa or curd.

Trick: If you still have lumps, pass it through the blender.

  • Once dissolved, we distribute the mixture in the containers in which we are going to serve the cola-cao curd. We take it to the refrigerator for a few hours so that it hardens and acquires that texture so typical of homemade curd.
  • If you have never tried cola-cao curd, dare to experiment with this homemade curd recipe.
