I have previously shared the recipe for vegan breaded fillets with textured soybeans on my profile. The recipe is a bit laborious but it is worth it because they are delicious. However, if you don’t have much time you can also use seaman, tofu or other types of pre-cooked vegan steaks. Well, this time, we are going to serve these soy fillets in mushroom sauce that is creamy, delicious and full of flavor.
Ingredients to make soybean fillets in mushroom sauce:
- 4 vegan soy fillets (see recipe on my profile)
- 10 mushrooms
- 1 onion
- 1 carrot
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 cup of water (240 milliliters)
- ½ cup of white wine
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 tablespoon of wheat flour
- 1 pinch of pepper
How to make Soy Fillets in Mushroom Sauce:
1.Prepare the vegan fillets with textured soy. To do this, follow the steps of the recipe that I shared earlier.
2.Dice the onion and carrot, cut the mushrooms and garlic into thin slices.
3.Heat the oil in a saucepan and lightly brown the onion and carrot over medium heat. Add the garlic and fry a little more. Add the mushrooms, salt, pepper and pour the wine. Cover the saucepan and cook stirring from time to time until the mushrooms are done.
4.Add a tablespoon of flour and stir well. When you incorporate the flour, add the water (or vegetable milk) and stir continuously until you get a thick sauce for the textured soy fillets.
5.Blend the mushroom sauce in the blender with a miniprimer. It is not necessary for the sauce to be completely crushed; it is very rich with chunks.
6.Serve the vegan soy fillets with the mushroom sauce on top and a side of potatoes or vegetables.
