Ingredients to make Peceto with mustard:
- 1 kilo of peceto (eye round)
- 1 bowl of beef broth
- 1 cup mustard
- 4 sprigs of fresh oregano
- 4 sprigs of fresh thyme
- 1 pinch of black pepper
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 drizzle of olive oil
- 2 onions
- 1 handful of dried oregano
How to make Peceto with mustard:
- At the base of a baking dish, place the julienned onions and drizzle with the olive oil. This is the first step to prepare the mustard fish.
- Season the peceto with salt and pepper and cover it completely with the mustard.
- Put the sprigs of herbs on top and place in the dish, on top of the onions
- Add the meat broth and sprinkle everything with dried oregano (your choice).
- If you prefer, you can make the beef broth recipe yourself instead of buying it already made.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and cook the peceto with mustard in a strong oven for an hour.
- Then remove the aluminum foil and leave in a soft oven for 15 more minutes.
- Chop the fish in mustard sauce into slices or slices and serve with the cooking bottom. It can be accompanied with mashed potatoes or baked potatoes, for example.
