Ingredients to make Rice with vegetables:
- 2 tablespoons of corn oil
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup white onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 1/2 cup tomatoes, peeled and chopped
- 1 cup celery, chopped into rounds
- 1 1/2 cups paprika, diced
- 1 1/2 cups carrot, finely chopped and precooked
- 2 cups of peas or a can
- 1/2 cup of tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 cup green beans, chopped
- 3 cups of water from cooking the vegetables
- 2 cups of washed rice
How to make Rice with vegetables:
- In the pot in which the preparation will take place, heat the butter and oil and fry the onion until it is transparent.
- Add the tomato, celery and paprika. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Add the peas, green beans, carrot, and cook, stirring occasionally, for another 10 minutes.
- Separately, mix the water with the tomato sauce and salt. Add to vegetables and over high heat bring to a boil.
- Add the rice and continue cooking over medium heat until small holes appear on the surface.
- Cover and simmer over low heat until the rice is dry. Serve hot
