Rice with salty coconut recipe

Ingredients to make Rice with salty coconut:

  • 2 cups of rice
  • 1 can of Coca Cola
  • 1 handful of raisins
  • 1 sheet of coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons of Sugar

How to make Salted Coconut Rice:

  1. Boil the coconut milk until the liquid evaporates and you have a slightly dark paste. This is how we will get the coconut titote
  2. Add to that same pot the rice along with the raisins, sugar and salt. Stir everything well until the rice takes on the color of the titote.
  3. Then add the Coca-Cola along with about three cups of water, in total there should be 4 cups of liquid. Stir and leave a few minutes over high heat until it starts to boil.
  4. Finally lower the flame and let the coconut rice cook covered over low heat. It will be ready when the liquid has been completely consumed.
  5. Salty coconut rice has a special sweet and sour flavor that combines perfectly with fish. Serve hot and accompany a fried bream.
