Ingredients to make Rice with saffron and garlic:
- 100 grams of long grain rice
- 1 clove garlic
- ½ liter of vegetable broth
- 4 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 pinch of saffron threads
- 1 pinch of salt
How to make Saffron and Garlic Rice:
- Let’s prepare the rice with only saffron in a wide casserole with a low edge. When you have it ready, put it on the fire with the oil to heat it up
- When the oil is hot, add the onion and garlic, both finely chopped, and sauté for five minutes, or until soft.
- Once the onion and garlic are soft, add the rice and cook for about a minute. Then add the vegetable broth, salt to taste and the saffron.
- Let the saffron rice boil for 20 minutes with the pot uncovered and over low heat. When there is no broth left and the rice grains are at their point, remove the preparation from the heat. Depending on the casserole and the type of fire you have, you may have to leave it a little longer.
- Serve the saffron garlic rice when ready as a main dish or a side to grilled chicken, fish, or vegetarian meals, such as a tofu burger.
