Baked scallops gratin recipe

Ingredients to make gratin baked scallops:

  • 16 scallops
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 handful of parsley
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper
  • 1 splash of olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons breadcrumbs

How to make gratin baked scallops:

  1. To make this baked scallop’s recipe, the first step to do is open and clean the scallops, leaving them stuck to the bottom shell.
  2. If you have bought them frozen, they must be allowed to thaw. If they are fresh and clean, leave them in salted water for a while.
  3. Chop the garlic and parsley.
  4. Remember that these ingredients are optional, but if you use them you will have some irresistible baked garlic scallops.
  5. Take a blender glass and add a splash of olive oil, garlic and parsley and blend everything, but without leaving it too blended so that the garlic and parsley are noticeable and the oil does not emulsify too much.
  6. Let sit for 5-10 minutes for the oil to settle.
  7. Put the scallops on a baking tray and sprinkle a little salt and pepper.
  8. If you like, you can add a squeeze of lemon. Preheat the oven to 200ºC.
  9. On top of each scallop place a couple of tablespoons of theoil, garlic and parsley dressing.
  10. Sprinkle a handful of breadcrumbson top of each scallop.
  11. Some also make scallops gratin with cheese instead of breadcrumbs, but if you want to keep the flavor of this shellfish as intact as possible, we don’t recommend cheese.
  12. In any case, variety is what tastes like! So it’s up to you to choose.
  13. Cook the scallops in the ovenat medium height, with heat up and down, for 8-10 minutes and turn off the oven.
  14. Leave them inside for a couple of minutes with the door closed and take them out.
  15. You can serve them with a little more of the dressing if you like, as it dries out a bit when cooking.
  16. Serve the baked scallop’s reciperight away because they cool down very quickly and dry out.
  17. As you can see, there are some spectacular scallop’s gratin with garlic and parsley, perfect to enjoy with the family or to treat ourselves.
