How to make Baked King Prawns with Orange Sauce:
- Before starting to make the prawn recipe you must prepare the ingredients.
- Remember that prawns must be cleaned before cooking.
- To do this, remove the veinthat they contain in the back, which is the intestine of the animal, and the shell that covers them.
- Save the peel to make the orange sauce.
- Bring the prawns to a bowl with the juice of an orange, pepper and garlic paste to taste.
- Take the container to the fridge or refrigerator for approximately 30 minutes so that the seafood marinates in the juice.
- While the prawns are marinating in the fridge, you can prepare the orange sauce.
- Then, in a deep pot, add the seafood broth, the orange juice, the white wine, the shell of the prawns, salt, garlic paste and pepper to taste.
- Bring the pot over medium heat for about 20 minutes, or until you notice that the sauce takes on a thick texture. Remove the preparation from the heat when it is ready.
- Pass the orange sauce through a strainerto remove the shrimp shells and have a finer sauce, as seen in the photograph. Reserve it to continue with the baked prawn’s recipe.
- Remove the prawns from the fridge, add a little salt and olive oil.
- Then, take them to a refractory resistant to the oven. Preheat the oven to 180ºC and, once hot, bake the prawnsfor approximately 15 minutes.
- Remember that you must watch them to avoid going over the cooking term.
- When the prawns are done, bring a frying pan over medium heat with the cooked pasta, the orange sauce and the seafood.
- Heat everything for a few minutes, without going overboard to prevent the prawns from overcooking
- Serve the baked prawn’s recipe with orange sauceadding a little Parmesan cheese to taste.
- I accompanied it with macaroni because I think it adds a sophisticated touch to the recipe.
- But, if you prefer, you can serve the prawns in sauce without pasta and accompany them with white rice, for example.
