Ingredients to make baked lamb ribs with plums:

  1. 1 kilogram of lamb ribs
  2. 100 grams of Chestnuts
  3. 75 grams of pitted plums
  4. 4 potatoes
  5. ½ glass of olive oil
  6. 1 glass of Port Wine
  7. 1 pinch of salt

How to make Baked Lamb Ribs with Prunes:

  • Prepare all the ingredients and heat the oven to 150ºC, placing a small clay pot with water on the bottom of the oven. This helps the water evaporate and the steam does not dry out the lamb.
  • To make these baked ribs, it is best to ask for boneless lamb ribs
  • Place the meat in a baking dish and season to taste. Spray the olive oil on top and put it in the preheated oven.
  • We wait the necessary time until it browns on one side, as seen in the photo. At that point, we turn it over and let it be done on the other side.
  • Once the ribs have been browned on both sides, remove from the oven and add the Port wine. Bathe well on all sides with the wine and put back in the oven for 20 more minutes.
  • After this time, we add the rest of the ingredients. Whole plums and chestnuts, all to taste, to finish cooking for about 15 minutes.
  • You will see how a slightly thick and bittersweet sauce is left, a delight! Baked lamb ribs with plums are an ideal dish to surprise when you have to prepare a special evening.
