Here I propose a typical autumn dish: pumpkin gratin with cheese. It is an easy recipe that has pumpkin as its main ingredient, a seasonal product that we can find at its best in winter. This baked pumpkin with cheese that we present is very simple to make and different from the dishes you are used to for sure. Try this pumpkin gratin in less than 30 minutes!

Ingredients to make Gratin Pumpkin with Cheese:

  • 1 kilogram of pumpkin
  • 100 grams of grated cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 200 milliliters of milk
  • 1 unit of nutmeg
  • 1 pinch of black pepper
  • 1 pinch of salt

How to make Gratin Pumpkin with Cheese:

  1. We start preparing all the ingredients on the counter so that we do not miss any.
  2. Cut the pumpkin into pieces and cook it with salt for about 5 minutes.
  3. If you don’t have a lot of time, you can even prepare the pumpkin in the microwave and you will save this step and the next one because it will be cooked and only ready to gratin.
  4. Once done, put it in a bowl to season and add nutmeg. Preheat the oven to 220ºC.
  5. On the other hand, the eggs are beaten together with the milk. Once everything is mixed, pour over the pumpkin.
  6. Finally, add all the grated cheese on top until it is covered.
  7. Trick: You can use any grated cheese to gratin or melt that you like to gratin the pumpkin.
  8. Put the dish with the pumpkin with cheese in the oven at 220 ºC until it is seen to be golden.
