Ingredients to make Pumpkin cream with milk:

  • 500 grams of peeled pumpkin
  • 500 grams of potatoes
  • 50 milliliters of milk
  • 100 milliliters of liquid cream or evaporated milk
  • 30 grams of butter
  • ground black pepper
  • salted

How to make Pumpkin cream with milk:

  1. Peel and wash the potatoes well and cut them together with the pumpkin into more or less equal pieces so that when it comes to cooking they take the same amount of time and are done in the same way.
  2. Put the pumpkin and the cut potato in a pot, cover them with plenty of water and a little salt and cook them over medium-low heat for approximately 40 minutes.
  3. To find out if the vegetables in the pumpkin cream with milk are cooked, you can pierce them with a knife and if they split easily, they are ready.
  4. Once they are cooked, remove the pot from the heat and with the help of a slotted spoon remove the pumpkin and potato, place them in a blender glass or a bowl and you have two options: either mash the pumpkin puree with milk with the blender or mash it with a puree mill until a smooth and homogeneous cream is obtained.
  5. Next, place the pumpkin vegetable cream in a skillet or casserole over medium-low heat, add the butter, salt and pepper (to taste) and stir well until the butter has melted and blended.
  6. Then add the liquid cream or evaporated milk and stir again until it is diluted.
  7. And then do the same by adding the milk. So the pumpkin cream with milk and cream will be even tastier.
  8. Cook it for about 5 more minutes over low heat, stirring constantly.
  9. Finally, add salt and pepper and you can now serve your pumpkin cream with very hot milk.  Take advantage!
