Ingredients to make Rice to accompany meats:
- 1/2 kilo of rice
- 1 carrot
- 1/2 lettuce
- Salt
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1 medium onion
- 1 pepper
- 2 tomatoes without skin or seed
How to make Rice to accompany meats:
- Chop the vegetables into small cubes and boil them in water and salt for 12 minutes, trying to make them hard; water is reserved.
- In a saucepan, pour the oil and, over low heat, sauté the garlic, onion, pepper and tomatoes, all finely chopped.
- When everything is fried, add the rice, previously washed, the cooked vegetables and the water that was left over from the previous cooking; let it boil for a quarter of an hour.
