Potato stuffed with meat recipe

Ingredients to make Potato stuffed with meat:

  • 4 pieces of medium potatoes
  • 200 grams of ground beef
  • 1 piece of Onions
  • 1 piece of Carrot
  • 1 celery stalk
  • 1 piece of green chili
  • 100 grams of tomato puree
  • 150 grams of grated cheese
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of powdered chicken bouillon
  • 1 tablespoon of wheat flour
  • 2 tablespoons of Butter
  • 1 pinch of Pepper

How to make Potato stuffed with meat:

  1. Boil the potatoes in plenty of salted water, a teaspoon of powdered chicken broth and a tablespoon of butter.
  2. You can use small potatoes to prepare appetizers or medium-large potatoes for a main course.
  3. When they are cooked, allow them to cool and with the help of a spoon empty the potatoes.
  4. You have to do it carefully not to break them and leaving a little meat on the potatoes, approximately 5 cm. thick.
  5. To prepare the filling, finely chop the previously washed and disinfected vegetables.
  6. In a frying pan, already hot over medium heat with olive oil, fry the garlic, onion and chili peppers.
  7. Later add the carrots and lastly the celery.
  8. Add the minced meat without stopping stirring and when it is almost cooked add the tomato puree.
  9. Place the potatoes on a baking sheet and fill with the ground beef.
  10. You can use a wire tray or a normal one, previously greased or lined with baking paper.
  11. Separately, put a saucepan over medium heat and add the remaining butter.
  12. When the butter is hot, add two tablespoons of the filling you removed to the potatoes, and fry for one minute.
  13. Add the flour and fry for two minutes. After that time, and without stopping moving with some rods, add the milk little by little.
  14. Season with a pinch of nutmeg, salt and pepper to taste. Keep stirring until the sauce starts to boil and thickens.
  15. Pour a little sauce on top of each potato and cover with grated cheese.
  16. Bake for 6 to 7 minutes at 200ºC or until the cheese is gratin. Serve the meat stuffed potatoes while they are hot and enjoy.
