Ingredients to make Plantain and Cheese Croquettes:

  • 1 unit of Plantain
  • 2 sheets of mozzarella cheese
  • 100 grams of Breadcrumb
  • 1 unit of Egg
  • 500 milliliters of Oil
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of Pepper
  • 1 dessert spoon of flour

How to make plantain and cheese croquettes:

  1. Before making the plantain croquettes, the first step is to prepare all the ingredients.
  2. In a pot with plenty of water, cook the plantain with the peel and cut into pieces.
  3. You should cook it for approximately 40 minutes, or until it is soft.
  4. Next, in a processor add the plantain and blend very well until obtaining a puree.
  5. Season to taste.
  6. Cover your hands with a little flour and make a medium ball with the banana puree.
  7. Then, add the cheese in the center and cover it with the dough in the shape of a small cylinder to obtain the croquettes.
  8. It is time to pass the banana croquettes through the beaten egg and the bread crumbs until they are completely covered.
  9. Finally, fry the banana and cheese croquettes in oil at medium temperature until golden brown, pass them through absorbent paper to remove excess oil and serve them.
