Gallo pinto rice recipe

Ingredients to make Gallo pinto rice:

  • 1 tomato
  • 1 cup of cooked rice (plain popped)
  • 1 cup of beans cooked with little broth (easy in flavor)
  • 3 tbsp. chopped red chili
  • 1 tsp. of butter
  • 3 tbsp. finely chopped onion
  • 2 tbsp. very finely chopped cilantro
  • To accompany
  • 1 very finely chopped sausage
  • 3 slices of ham cut into small squares

How to make Gallo Pinto Rice:

  1. Sauté the onion, chili pepper and cilantro in butter. When they are very crunchy, some of the extra ingredients are added.
  2. Add the rice and fry a little all together to mix flavors.
  3. The beans are then added.
  4. The ingredients are left to rest for a moment, covered, so that the flavors come together and the rice is soaked in the bean broth. It is served immediately.
