Ingredients to make Gallo pinto rice:
- 1 tomato
- 1 cup of cooked rice (plain popped)
- 1 cup of beans cooked with little broth (easy in flavor)
- 3 tbsp. chopped red chili
- 1 tsp. of butter
- 3 tbsp. finely chopped onion
- 2 tbsp. very finely chopped cilantro
- To accompany
- 1 very finely chopped sausage
- 3 slices of ham cut into small squares
How to make Gallo Pinto Rice:
- Sauté the onion, chili pepper and cilantro in butter. When they are very crunchy, some of the extra ingredients are added.
- Add the rice and fry a little all together to mix flavors.
- The beans are then added.
- The ingredients are left to rest for a moment, covered, so that the flavors come together and the rice is soaked in the bean broth. It is served immediately.
