Ingredients to make Drunken Rice:
- 250 grams of rice that does not pass
- 3 glasses of Don Simon red wine or similar
- 1 chopped onion
- 100 grams of bacon in pieces (not smoked)
- 2 liters of meat broth (it can be done with pills)
- 100 grams of grated Parmesan
- 70 grams of butter
How to make Drunken Rice:
- In a medium saucepan put the butter and the chopped onion, then the bacon and after 5 minutes the rice.
- Always stir and sometimes as soon as you add a glass of wine up to three.
- Gradually pour in the hot broth while stirring the rice if it doesn’t stick.
- Continue like this until the rice is ready to eat (the two liters of broth are not always useful).
- Add all the Parmesan and eat hot together with a good crania Rioja or a Chianti classic from Tuscany.
