Ingredients to make Apple Rice:
- 2 tsp. olive oil
- 1 small chopped onion
- 3 garlic cloves, crushed
- 2 cups of long grain rice
- 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts
- 2 1/2 cups of water
- 1 1/2 cups unpeeled green apples, chopped
- Salt
- Pepper
- 3 tablespoons cilantro
How to make Apple Rice:
- In a cauldron or pot, heat the olive oil and fry the onion with the garlic until golden.
- Add the rice and nuts and cook a few minutes.
- Add the water and cook until dry.
- Cover and reduce heat and cook for 15 minutes.
- Uncover and add apple and cilantro, mix well.
- Cover and cook 5 minutes.
- Serve followed by whatever you like.
