In any good traditional food house worth its salt, a good plate of beans with chorizo cannot be missing on the table, a recipe for white beans that is consistent and nutritious, ideal for the coldest seasons due to its important caloric content.
As we don’t want you to be cold and we like to take care of you with easy recipes, here we explain how to make some beans with chorizo, simply and quite quickly, compared to other legumes.
Ingredients to make beans with boat chorizo:
- 1 can of beans (beans, kidney beans)
- 1½ glasses of water
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 onion
- 8 pieces of sausage
- 1 ripe tomato
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
- oil
How to make beans with canned chorizo:
1.The first step to make these quick pot beans with chorizo is to chop the onion, peel the garlic, leave them whole and fry everything in a pan with a little oil.
2.Then cut the chorizo into chunks or slices if you bought it in a large chunk and add it to the pan. This ingredient will give white beans a very special flavor. Sauté it for a bit.
3.When the onion is almost completely poached, grate the ripe tomato and add it to the sautéed beans with canned chorizo.
4.Once the fried beans with chorizo are ready, remove the peeled garlic cloves and add the teaspoon of sweet paprika. Stir well to integrate all the flavors.
5.Then add the can of white beans. If you want you can rinse and drain them beforehand, but I prefer to add them with the preservation liquid without draining them.
6.Finally, add the glass and a half of water and a pinch of salt, and let the white beans with chorizo cook for about 10-15 minutes over low-medium heat.
When they have been cooked well, we will be able to enjoy our beans with jar chorizo at the table.
