Spaghetti a la Marinera Recipe

Ingredients to make Spaghetti a la marinera:

  1. 250 grams of good quality Spaghetti, can be fresh
  2. ½ kilogram of Clams
  3. ¼ kilogram of Prawns
  4. 1 unit of small onion
  5. 2 garlic cloves
  6. 1 pinch of Parsley
  7. 1 jet of Oil
  8. 1 pinch of salt

How to make Spaghetti a la marinera:

  • Boil the spaghetti in plenty of water with a pinch of salt, until al dente. Drain and set aside, add a little oil to the pasta to make it looser
  • You must have the clams soaked in salt water for at least 3 hours. Then, pass them through clean water and rub well to remove any remaining sand. Open them in boiling water drain them and reserve the water.
  • Put two tablespoons of oil in a frying pan and, when hot, sauté the finely chopped onion and garlic. Once the onion is transparent, add the clams and half of the peeled prawns. Sauté everything together and add the spaghetti and half a glass of the strained broth from the clams.
  • Let cook for approximately 5 minutes, until practically all the broth is consumed. Finally, mix a tablespoon of chopped parsley with 2 or 3 tablespoons of olive oil. Spray the spaghetti with this mixture. Grill the remaining prawns and decorate the recipe with them.
  • If you want, you can add shelled mussels to the seafood spaghetti, you must add them when adding the clams. Bon Appetite!
