Ingredients to make Sinaloa Style Pork Beans with Sardines:
- 1 kilogram of canary beans (mayocoba, Peruvian or sulfur)
- 500 grams of pork chorizo
- 250 grams of lard
- 500 grams of Chihuahua cheese
- 2 cans of devilish ham
- 400 grams of jalapeño peppers
- 600 grams of tomato puree
- 400 grams of olives
- 1 can of sardine
How to make Sinaloa Style Pork Beans with Sardines:
1.Cook the beans in plenty of water until soft. When they are ready, remove as much broth as you can and reserve it for later; you must leave enough broth to grind the beans without making them watery.
2.Crush the beans with a hand blender or a mortar or pestle once they are warm or cool. If you removed too much broth, you can always add little by little. The result should be ground beans that are neither too runny nor too thick.
3.Put the butter in a large enough clay pot and move it with a spoon to make it melt faster.
4.When the butter is very hot, add the chorizo and crumble it in the pot with the same spoon. Let it cook for 4 minutes, moving to avoid burning or sticking and the Sinaloa style pork beans with sardines are perfect.
5.After the time, add the ham, the tomato puree and the sardine, crumble and continue cooking for about 6 more minutes. Then, you can grind the entire preparation or leave it that way, as you prefer.
Tip: If you decided to blend, add a little bean to blend better.
6.Add the beans and integrate them with the preparation so that everything is mixed well.
7.When the pork beans with sardines start to boil, add the grated cheese and keep stirring to make it melt quickly.
8.Finally, add the chills and olives, and keep moving. It is very important not to stop turning the preparation to prevent it from sticking or burning. Let cook about 3 more minutes.
9.Clever! Now you can serve and taste these delicious Sinaloa style pork beans with sardines. And if you wish, you can let them cool and enjoy them the next day reheated, since they are even more delicious! They can be served with corn tortillas and white rice. Bon Appetite!
