There are days when you think that hunger is going to eat you from within. And if, in addition to this, you add the indecision of not knowing what you want more, if a hamburger with cheese and bacon or a homemade pizza, the dilemma is posed. As our vocation is to help you in these moments of culinary indecision, we propose the definitive solution: the pizza burger.

A pizza burger is half pizza, half meat burger. You can also make it vegan with a tofu burger. This is already to taste. The one we propose is a vegetable pizza with peppers and onions stuffed with a pork and beef burger seasoned with bacon and barbecue sauce. A delight that you have to try at least once in your life. Hands down!

Ingredients to make Pizza Burger:

  1. For the pizza dough:
  2. 250 grams of flour
  3. 10 grams of dry baker’s yeast
  4. 125 milliliters of Water
  5. 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  6. 1 tablespoon of salt
  7. For the burger:
  8. 350 grams of Hamburger
  9. 100 grams of Bacon
  10. 3 slices of cheese to melt
  11. 2 tablespoons of barbecue sauce
  12. 2 tablespoons of ketchup
  13. seasonings for pizza
  14. 2 unit of green pepper

How to make Burger Pizza:

  • Before beginning the process of making a pizza burger, we present and prepare the ingredients that we are going to need to make both the pizza dough and the burger filling and the homemade pizza.
  • We start with the preparation of the homemade pizza dough, which if you don’t have time the same day you can start the night before and so the next day you have the perfect dough to bake. Mix well the flour with the salt and in the middle we draw a small hole.
  • In a quarter of the warm water that our easy pizza dough will require, we dissolve the dry yeast completely.
  • Add the water with the yeast to the flour with salt and begin to mix. Then little by little we add the rest of the water.
  • We knead with our hands until we achieve homemade dough that is firm and elastic. Now add the olive oil and continue kneading.
  • Tip:Do not add the oil until the dough is no longer sticky.
  • Knead for approximately another 15 minutes and then let the pizza dough risecovered with a hot cloth. If you are going to make it on the same day, leaving it for 3 hours will be enough: first at room temperature for 30 minutes, knead again and then leave it in the fridge until you are ready to prepare it.
  • On baking paper, with a little flour spread on the paper, we spread the pizza burger dough until it is very thin.
  • We spread with barbecue sauce and ketchup the base of the pizza.
  • While we grill the XXXL hamburger in a frying pan, we chop the vegetablesfor our pizza burger.
  • Once the meat is almost completely done, we position it in the center of the burger pizza dough.
  • We quickly pass, fly and turn, the bacon or bacon, and place it on the hamburger. On them, we have the cheese in slices to melt.
  • We now close the burger pizza, from the ends to the center. If you see that you have a lot of dough left, cut it. Keep in mind that when baking, the meat will pretend to cook the dough rather than brown it.
  • We spread the surface of the vegetable pizza with the mixture of barbecue sauce and ketchup. Also the edges, so that they brown well.
  • We arrange the vegetables on the basis of the burger pizza.
  • Sprinkle with generous grated cheese and oregano and preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  • In this burger pizza recipe it is important to bake the pizza on a rack, not with the bases that are there for baking. We leave it for 30-45 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius, depending on the oven, and let it warm up a bit, not cool, before serving.
