Ingredients to make Roman-style gnocchi:
- 1 kg of potatoes
- 150 gr. Of flour
- 1 egg
- 150 gr. of margarine
- 50 gr. grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- Salt
How to make Roman-style gnocchi:
- In a pot of boiling water, cook the potatoes whole and with the skin on until tender. Drain them, let them cool, peel them and crush them. Put them in a bowl.
- Add flour, egg, nutmeg and salt to taste. Work until the dough no longer sticks to your fingers. Flour a surface and, with the palms of your hands, make fine curls.
- Cut them into small gnocchi. Flour them and cook them with water and salt until they rise to the surface. Drain them and season them with margarine and grated cheese.
