Ingredients to make white beans with clams:
- ¾ kilogram of white beans
- ½ kilogram of fine clams
- 1 unit of ripe tomato
- 1 unit of Onion
- ½ bay leaf
- 1 sprig of parsley
- 1 unit of saffron ballot
- 1 clove garlic
- ½ teaspoon sweet paprika
- 1 jet of oil
- 1 pinch of salt
How to make White Beans with Clams:
1.To make these white beans with clams, the beans are soaked in cold water overnight.
2.The next morning, drain the white beans, transfer them to a saucepan and add the chopped onion, the tomato peeled and cut into small pieces, the bay leaf, the garlic, the parsley, the paprika and the raw oil; shake the saucepan to mix everything and cover with cold water.
3.When the pot of white beans comes to a boil, lower the flame, add the slightly toasted saffron and let it cook slowly, making sure that the beans are always covered with water so that they do not loosen their skin.
4.Once tender, the white beans are seasoned with salt and continue to cook very slowly.
5.Separately, prepare the clams a la marinara and add them to the white beans, leaving them to boil very slowly for another quarter of an hour.
