Ingredients to make Shredded Tuna with Bacon:

  • 1 kilo of tuna in one piece.
  • 4 cloves of garlic.
  • 80 grams of fresh bacon.
  • A pinch of white pepper.
  • 1 bay leaf.
  • 2 tablespoons of flour.
  • 1 fresh spring onion.
  • 1 carrot.
  • 1 glass of white wine.
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
  • Parsley

How to make Shredded Tuna with Bacon:

  1. Let the tuna bleed out in cold water for 20 minutes and drain it.
  2. Chop the bacon with the garlic and pepper until we make dough with which we will fill the tuna.
  3. With a knitting needle (if you don’t have that needle, you can use a thick knitting needle), make holes in the tuna and insert the bacon mass into them.
  4. Flour the tuna and fry it in a pan with olive oil, browning it.
  5. Next, we set it aside and reserve.
  6. In the same fat that we have sautéed the tuna, we fry the finely sliced ​​onion, 2 garlic cloves, the cut carrot and a bay leaf.
  7. Once the rehash is done, we add a pinch of parsley and the piece of tuna along with a glass of wine and a little water to cover it.
  8. Leave on low heat for about 10 minutes until the sauce is reduced, turning the piece of tuna from time to time.
  9. Once cooked, set aside the piece of tuna and pass the sauce through the blender, removing the bay leaf.
  10. We serve the tuna cut into slices and accompanied by the sauce.
