Sardines with tomato and onion recipe

Ingredients to make Sardines with tomato and onion:

  • 2 kilos of sardines
  • 2 onions
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • Half a glass of water
  • 4 tablespoons of olive oil
  • a bunch of parsley
  • Salt to taste

How to make Sardines with tomato and onion:

  1. We leave the sardines to soak for a few minutes under water.
  2. Then we clean them; we remove the heads and scales and season.
  3. In a frying pan with oil we brown them, round and round.
  4. Later we only have to fry the garlic, the onions and the tomatoes. When the tomato has dissolved, we add the water and the sardines.
  5. We let it boil for about 7 minutes at most and rest between 3 and 5 minutes.
  6. Finally we only have to serve at the table and sprinkle the chopped parsley on top.
