Sardines Santander recipe

Ingredients to make Sardines a la Santanderina:

  • 1 kilo of sardines
  • 5 garlic cloves
  • a few sprigs of parsley
  • 3 tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • Salt
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 salad tomatoes

How to make Sardines to Santander:

  1. Wash the sardines, removing the heads and the central spine.
  2. Season them, brush them with oil and place them on a baking sheet.
  3. Chop the garlic and parsley and mix them with the breadcrumbs.
  4. Cover the sardines with the mixture of garlic, parsley and breadcrumbs.
  5. Place in the preheated oven at 200º C for 6 minutes.
  6. We serve on a tomato salad base cut into thin slices and seasoned with a little salt and virgin olive oil.
