Ingredients to make Sardine Pate:
- 125 grams of canned sardines, drained
- 1/3 cup softened cream cheese
- A pinch of lemon zest
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 crushed garlic clove
- salted
- freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
How to make Sardine Pate:
- Crush the sardines very well and beat.
- Fold in cheese until smooth
- Add the lemon zest and juice, garlic, salt and pepper to taste and beat very well.4
- Divide the mixture between two molds.
- Smooth the surface and coat each one with the melted butter.
- Chill in the refrigerator until the butter sets and garnish with the sliced olives and a few sprigs of parsley.
- Serve them with warm rectangles of toasted bread.
