Ingredients to make cheese gnocchi:
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 cup of water
- 1 tablespoon of oil
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup grated cheese
How to make cheese gnocchi:
- Put on the fire, in a pot or saucepan. 1 cup of milk and 1 cup of water with 1 tablespoon of oil, when it starts to boil I add 2 cups of flour and 1 cup of grated cheese
- I stir until it separates from the container (takes a few seconds or minutes). There, remove it from the heat and “WAIT” for a little while for the strong heat to go away. I incorporate 1 egg into that mass. When it is well incorporated.
- I turn the dough onto the marble or countertop or kitchen work table, PREVIOUSLY FLOURED, and form the choricitos, or cylindrical pieces, or snakes, to form the gnocchi. When I have the chorizos formed, I cut them into small pieces and pass them through a fork to give them the traditional shape of the gnocchi, that is, the shape of a little snail.
- I put them on trays or roasting pans or floured plates while I wait to bring them to a boil.
