The most classic of all pizzas! Margherita pizza is undoubtedly a tradition, but it is nonetheless less than other pizzas with more ingredients. Keep reading and learn how to prepare the famous marguerite pizza, with natural tomato, cheese and basil leaves.

Ingredients to make Pizza Margherita:

  1. 200 grams of wheat flour
  2. 10 grams of active yeast
  3. 1 glass of lukewarm water
  4. 2 units of tomato
  5. 1 pinch of Salt and Pepper
  6. tomato paste
  7. 1 branch of Thyme
  8. 1 handful of basil leaves
  9. 1 cup of mozzarella cheese

How to make Pizza Margherita:

  • For this incredible Margherita pizza, the first thing you have to do is prepare all the ingredients; these are for a large pizza.
  • The first things we are going to prepare are the dough, for this place the flour on a flat surface and form a volcano. Around it add salt and pepper to taste, in the center make a small hole and place the yeast and a pinch of white sugar there, this to help the yeast ferment faster.
  • Then add the warm water and mix only with the yeast, when it starts to foam you can mix all the flour with the water.
  • Mix the pizza dough very well for about 10 minutes until it is compact, homogeneous and smooth dough. If you notice that the dough is very hard, add a little more water.
  • Place the pizza dough in a container with a little olive oil and cover with transparent kitchen paper. Let it rise for 30 minutes.
  • After 30 minutes, roll out the dough on a flat surfaceand add flour so it doesn’t stick. Place on a baking tray with a little flour and cover the dough with the tomato paste and add thyme to taste.
  • The marguerite pizza is a very classic pizza that only has tomato cheese and basil; therefore you must place a layer of grated mozzarella cheese, a few slices of tomato and add a little salt to taste. Bake for 10 minutesat 175ºC.
