Ingredients to make Pickled Cod:

  • 2 cod fillets without salt or desalted
  • 1 unit of purple onion
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 4 units of Lemons
  • 1 teaspoon of Parsley
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 cup of white vinegar
  • 1 pinch of garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon of dried Bay

How to make Pickled Code:

  1. The first step to make the cod recipe is to prepare the ingredients.
  2. Bring a skillet to medium heat with a little olive oil.
  3. Once the oil is hot, add the onion in small squares and sauté.
  4. Add the cubed cod in one bite as shown in the photograph. What we are going to do is seal the protein so that it can later be pickled. Turn off the heat to avoid overcooking the fish.
  5. Transfer the fish to a bowl and let cool.
  6. Add the parsley, bay leaf and thyme. Mix all the ingredients very well.
  7. To continue preparing the marinade, add the lemon juice and olive oil.
  8. Add the garlic paste and mix all the ingredients very well. Thus, we will leave the cod to marinate in the marinade so that it is well impregnated with all the aromas of the ingredients.
  9. Finally, cover with the vinegar and take it to the fridge or refrigerator for 12 hours, or you can do it from the night before to be consumed.
