Monkfish recipe baked with almonds

Monkfish is a white fish with a lot of protein and few calories. In Spain it is a fish very present in Christmas menus. we teach you how to prepare a tasty baked monkfish with almonds in a very short time.

Ingredients to make Monkfish in the oven with almonds:

  • 400 grams of Monkfish
  • 1 unit of tomato
  • 30 grams of Almonds
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 handful of fresh parsley
  • 1 slice of bread
  • 1 splash of olive oil
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 jet of water

How to make Monkfish in the oven with almonds:

  1. We gathered all the ingredients to make this baked monkfish with almonds.
  2. Heat a tablespoon of oil in a frying pan and fry the garlic with the almonds until golden. We booked.
  3. We put a little more oil in the pan and fry the bread on both sides. We reserve it with the garlic and almonds.
  4. In that same pan we sauté the peeled and chopped tomato in small squares. If you have bought the whole monkfish, you can take advantage of the head to make a monkfish soup.
  5. We beat the tomato with the garlic, the almonds and the bread. Add a splash of water and blend until you have a lump free almond sauce. Meanwhile, we preheat the oven to 200ºC and season the monkfish.
  6. Tip: If you want the sauce to be very fine, you can pass it through a strainer.
  7. Cover the monkfish with the almond sauce and place in the oven at 190ºC for 20 minutes
