Ingredients to make Mackerel in tomato sauce:

  • 1 Mackerel per person
  • 1 can of fried tomato
  • 1 pinch of cumin
  • 1 pinch of Garlic to taste
  • 1 splash of olive oil
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 splash of wine vinegar

How to make Mackerel in tomato sauce:

  1. Preparation: if desired, the heads and tails of the fish can be removed, season with salt and pepper, fry and reserve.
  2. In a mortar we crush the garlic, the cumin and a little salt until making a paste and add a good stream of vinegar.
  3. Put the contents of the tomato tin in a little oil for frying the fish, leave it for a few minutes and pour the contents of the mortar.
  4. We put the mackerel in a clay pot and pour over the previous preparation, rectifying flavors, if necessary.
  5. Let it cook for about five minutes and serve in the same casserole.
  6. Presentation: in a clay pot, accompanied by wrinkled potatoes or any other potato recipe and a good wine.
