Italian Style Pasta with Potatoes

Pasta with potatoes is a traditional Neapolitan recipe, food for the poor, as they say. But, although it may not seem like it, it is a delicious dish. And very energetic, ideal for athletes. Keep reading and discover how to make pasta with Italian-style potatoes, you won’t regret it!

Ingredients to make Pasta with Italian-style potatoes:

  1. 400 grams of short pasta
  2. 3 units of Potato
  3. 2 units of onion
  4. 6 slices of cheese
  5. 3 dessert spoons of Serrano ham cubes
  6. 3 tablespoons of Parmesan
  7. 2 jets of Oil
  8. 1 tablespoon of salt

How to make Italian Style Potato Pasta:

  • To prepare the pasta with potatoes you can choose several types of pasta. In this case I have chosen rigatoni, but you can also opt for macaroni, for example. Same for sliced ​​cheese, but choose a flavored one, like Mental.
  • We start with a fried onion. Cut the onion and put it to brown in a large pot with oil.
  • Then add the potatoes, cut into small pieces. Let them brown for a few minutes.
  • Next, cover the potatoes with water and let everything cook for about 20 minutes.
  • Put the pasta to cook in another pot, with plenty of salted water.
  • When the pasta is ready, drain it and pour it into the pot of potatoes. Stir and let everything cook together for a few more minutes, so that the potato practically falls apart.
  • Then add the sliced ​​cheese, and stir well so that the cheese melts and forms a cream with the potato.
  • Serve the pasta with Italian-style potatoes and garnish the plate with some small pieces of Serrano ham. Bring the Parmesan out to the table so that each diner can taste it, and don’t forget a good red wine.
