FoodsDiary By FoodsDiary

If you think that a carbonara sauce without cream or cheese is less good because it does not contain dairy products, it is because you have not tried this easy lactose-free carbonara pasta recipe that we are showing you this time!

It is carbonara noodles without cream or other dairy products that are equally delicious thanks to the vegetable cream or vegan milk cream that we are going to use. It’s not hard to get. I assure you that you can find it in any supermarket or specialized store so do not be discouraged.

Try this lactose-free homemade pasta carbonara recipe and use any other long pasta you fancy instead of the noodles.

Ingredients to make Pasta carbonara without lactose:

  1. 1 onion
  2. 1 garlic
  3. 100 grams of Bacon or smoked bacon (lactose-free)
  4. 1 pot of vegetable cream or vegan milk cream
  5. 1 egg
  6. 100 grams of Pasta (noodles in this case)
  7. 1 pinch of salt
  8. 1 pinch of ground black pepper
  9. 1 pinch of Nutmeg

How to make Pasta carbonara without lactose:

  • The first step to make these carbonara noodles without cream or other dairy products is to cut the bacon into small strips and fry it in a pan until golden brown. Then remove it and reserve it.
  • Tip: You don’t need to add oil as the bacon’s own fat is enough to brown it.
  • Next, peel and finely chop the garlic and onion and, in the same pan as before, begin to fry them slowly with a drizzle of oil and a pinch of salt.
  • While the vegetables in the lactose-free carbonara sauce are caramelizing, bring a pot with plenty of water to a boil and when it boils; cook the noodles(according to the instructions on the package) or any other pasta you want.
  • Once the carbonara sauce without cream or cheese is caramelized, add the fried bacon, stir a little and then add the vegetable cream and let it all cook together for a few minutes and remove it from the heat. Add a pinch of nutmeg.
  • Meanwhile, we beat the eggwith a pinch of salt and ground black pepper in a separate bowl.
  • When the noodles are cooked, drain them wellwith a colander or kitchen drainer.
  • Next, add the beaten egginto the lactose-free carbonara sauce, stir and then add the noodles and mix again. Keep in mind that the sauce cannot be ultra-hot because otherwise the beaten egg would be cooked, which is why we have removed it from the heat a few minutes before.
  • We immediately serve our lactose-free pasta carbonaraon a plate and eat!
