This time I propose a very healthy fish dish, a stew of hake with potatoes, and my version of the traditional Galician hake with potatoes. A simple dish, with a lot of flavor and that is made almost steamed. Since the hake is so soft, the touch of sweet or spicy paprika gives it a lot of flavor and we have a healthy and complete dish. Ideal for preparing a dinner.
Ingredients to make Hake stew with potatoes:
- 4 slices of hack
- 3 potatoes
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 splash of olive oil
- 1 dessert spoon of sweet or hot paprika
- 1 glass of water
- 1 pinch of salt
How to make Hake stew with potatoes:
- The first thing we will cut the laminated garlic.
- Cut the potatoes into thin slices.
- We salted the hake on both sides.
- In a casserole, put a good jet of oil over medium heat, and add the sliced garlic.
- When it starts to take color we add the paprika, it can be sweet or spicy, or a mixture of the two. Stir immediately so that the paprika does not burn and add the glass of water.
- We put the potatoes in the base of the casserole and let it cook for about 10 minutes. That when pierced the potatoes is almost tender.
- Put the pieces of hake on top of the potatoes; cover the casserole with a lid and cook for another 10 minutes. With the help of a spoon we are putting a little of the sauce on the stewed hake with potatoes.
- Tip: If you want the hake stew with potatoes to be more liquid, add more water or fish broth.
- After this time, we look to see if the hake is cooked. We turn off and put in a source.
