Hake stew with potatoes recipe

This time I propose a very healthy fish dish, a stew of hake with potatoes, and my version of the traditional Galician hake with potatoes. A simple dish, with a lot of flavor and that is made almost steamed. Since the hake is so soft, the touch of sweet or spicy paprika gives it a lot of flavor and we have a healthy and complete dish. Ideal for preparing a dinner.

Ingredients to make Hake stew with potatoes:

  • 4 slices of hack
  • 3 potatoes
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 splash of olive oil
  • 1 dessert spoon of sweet or hot paprika
  • 1 glass of water
  • 1 pinch of salt

How to make Hake stew with potatoes:

  1. The first thing we will cut the laminated garlic.
  2. Cut the potatoes into thin slices.
  3. We salted the hake on both sides.
  4. In a casserole, put a good jet of oil over medium heat, and add the sliced ​​garlic.
  5. When it starts to take color we add the paprika, it can be sweet or spicy, or a mixture of the two. Stir immediately so that the paprika does not burn and add the glass of water.
  6. We put the potatoes in the base of the casserole and let it cook for about 10 minutes. That when pierced the potatoes is almost tender.
  7. Put the pieces of hake on top of the potatoes; cover the casserole with a lid and cook for another 10 minutes. With the help of a spoon we are putting a little of the sauce on the stewed hake with potatoes.
  8. Tip: If you want the hake stew with potatoes to be more liquid, add more water or fish broth.
  9. After this time, we look to see if the hake is cooked. We turn off and put in a source.
  10. Place the potatoes, the hake slices on top and the remaining sauce on top. Sprinkle a little more paprika on top of the plate. And smooth make stew with potatoes to eat!
