How to make Grilled Tuna:
- The secret to making a good grilled tuna, in addition to using a quality product, is to control the cooking time very well, so pay close attention.
- The calculation for this recipe is one large tuna loin or two small ones per serving.
- Heat a griddle or nonstick skillet over low heat for about 5 minutes. The idea is that the iron is very hot when we go to cook the tuna.
- Optionally, you can add a couple of drops of oil on the griddle to prevent the fish from sticking. Although if you have a good frying pan this will not be necessary.
- Add a little salt and freshly ground pepper to the tuna loin, season on both sides.
- When the griddle is very hot, place the tuna pieces and let them cook for a maximum of 2-3 minutes on each side.
- This cooking time is for the tuna to be left to the point, tender. You will see how the meat that you are on the grill side changes color, when this color change reaches halfway, that is when you should turn the fish.
- If you prefer the tuna to be well done, then cook it for about 4-5 minutes on each side, but never more than this.
- If you want you can sprinkle the grilled tuna with a little lemon and serve with any of the garnishes that we have recommended. This dish is perfect to include in your diet menu to lose weight or for dinner, if you want a light dinner.
