- 500 grams of Peas
- 150 grams of pork or turkey bacon
- 1 unit of white onion
- 1 pinch of garlic paste
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 pinch of black pepper
How to make Bacon Peas:
The first step to make our peas with bacon recipe is to prepare the ingredients.
- Bring a pot with enough water over medium heat and, once the water is boiling, add the peas and cook until they are soft, remove them from the water when they are ready and set them aside.
- Bring a skillet over medium heat with a little olive oil and add the onion in small squares when it is hot.
- Sauté until you notice that they take on a transparent color.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Bring a saucepan over medium heat and add the bacon or bacon cut into thin strips
- Once you see that the bacon is golden, remove it from the heat and mix with the onion that we fry in the previous steps.
