How to make Quinoa Meatballs:
- To start making our quinoa meatballs recipe, the first step is to prepare all the ingredients.
- Wash the quinoa very well, to do so, place the quinoa in a strainer and put it under the stream until the water stops coming out white, once it comes out transparent we already have our main ingredient ready to cook.
- To cook the quinoa, take it to a deep pot and bring it to a boil with water in the same proportions as white rice.
- Two cups of water for each cup of quinoa and a pinch of salt to taste, over medium heat until the water dries up, then lower the heat to a simmer and cover the pot, in this way we will finish cooking the quinoa.
- Make a sauce with the finely chopped onion and a little oil.
- Also add salt, pepper and garlic paste to taste.
- When you see that the onion is well fried, add the cooked quinoa and the fresh parsley.
- Mix very well until you integrate all the ingredients of the preparation for the quinoa meatballs.
- Remove our preparation to a bowl and let it cool down to be able to handle it without problem
- Once the mixture is at room temperature, with your hand we form the balls by exerting a little pressure on them, in this way you will obtain the meatballs.
- You can make them bigger or, as in this case, smaller to serve as a starter.
- To cook the meatballs, take a frying pan over medium heat and add a little olive oil, once you see that it is hot, add the quinoa meatballs to fry them, this way they are crispy on the outside. Sauté for approximately 3 to 4 minutes.
- On top of a plate, add a piece of absorbent paper and place the quinoa meatballs there, ready to remove excess oil.
- Serve our quinoa meatballs with a homemade tomato or Neapolitan sauce.
- You can eat them as a starter or main dish, they are really exquisite.
