- 2 cups of white rice
- 1 pound of shrimp

- Our first step to make the rice with shrimp recipe is to prepare the ingredients.
- First we are going to make a base sauce.
- To do this, take a deep pot over medium heat with a tablespoon of olive oil, add the finely chopped pepper and tomato.
- Sauté for a few minutes.
- Add the long onion with salt, black pepper and garlic paste to taste.
- Sauté very well until the ingredients of the base sauce are integrated.
- Add the peas, beans and white rice to the pot where we have our base sauce.
- Stir everything with a wooden spoon until the rice is impregnated with the flavors of the stir-fry.
- Tip: If you want you can add a pinch of cumin to flavor our recipe.
- Finally, add the shrimp and a cup of water so that they cook evenly with the ingredients that we added in the previous step.
- Let keep until the shrimp are cooked well. Put out the fire.
- Tip: If you want to give this Colombian recipe an additional touch, add coconut milk instead of water.
- Serve the rice with shrimp sprinkling some fresh parsley on top.
