Ingredients to make Rice with chicken, vegetables and soy sauce:

  1. 160 grams of Rice
  2. ½ red pepper
  3. 1 small onion
  4. 1 chicken breast
  5. 1 egg
  6. 1 splash of soy sauce
  7. 1 pinch of salt
  8. 1 pinch of black pepper

How to make Rice with chicken, vegetables and soy sauce:

  • The first thing we must do to prepare the chicken rice in soy sauce is to prepare the ingredients. To do this, we chop the vegetables of the desired size. Although we have used red pepper and white onion, if you prefer you can add more vegetables, such as half a green pepper, half an aborigine, a piece of leek, zucchini, carrot…, to your liking!
  • Separately, we cook the rice in boiling water following the brand’s instructions, the most usual being to add two cups of water for each cup of rice.
  • Once the vegetables selected for the preparation of the oriental-style rice with vegetables have been chopped, we take a deep frying pan and heat a little oil. The ideal would be to use a wok, but failing that, a non-stick frying pan also gives good results. When the oil is hot, we fry the onion. We advise you to add a little sugar to cook the caramelized onion, it will give an incredible flavor to the rice with chicken and soy!
  • When the onion acquires a transparent tone, we add the pepper. If you also selected green bell pepper, add both at the same time.
  • Once the pepper is well cooked, add the chopped chicken and give it a few turns with a wooden spoon. Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste. If you want to add vegetables such as zucchini or eggplant, they should be incorporated before adding the chicken.

  • Tip: If you want, you can add mushrooms to the recipe.
  • When the chicken is well cooked, we beat the egg, add it to the vegetable sauce and quickly stir the preparation with the wooden spoon. The egg is optional, if you do not want to add it you cannot, although we recommend that you do so for the touch of flavor and texture that it brings to rice with chicken, vegetables and soy sauce.
  • We incorporate the drained rice and passed through cold water to the preparation of vegetables and chicken. Mix well and try. If we consider it appropriate, we can add a little more soy sauce, rectify the flavor with salt or give an extra touch of black pepper.
