Ingredients to make Chicken Rice with Thermomix:

  1. 80 milliliters of olive oil
  2. 2 garlic cloves
  3. 500 grams of chicken with skin
  4. 300 grams of red and green pepper
  5. 1 carrot
  6. 850 milliliters of chicken broth, vegetables or water
  7. 1 pinch of sweet paprika
  8. 1 pinch of saffron or Curry
  9. 1 pinch of salt
  10. 340 grams of rice
  11. 120 grams of peas

How to make Chicken Rice with Thermomix:

  • We begin to prepare our rice with chicken and vegetables by placing the oil in the glass together with the garlic. Program then for 5 seconds at speed 6 to crush them and then heat the whole for 4 minutes, but this time in Varoma mode with speed 1 and the basket on the lid.
  • Add the chicken, previously chopped, and fry for 5 minutes, maintaining the Varoma mode but turning to the left and speed with a spoon.
  • To prepare this rice with chicken with Thermomix you can use chicken breast or contramulos which are juicier. The important thing is that it has skin and that you cut it into pieces in one bite or so.
  • Next, add the previously finely chopped vegetables and fry for 6 minutes. We once again maintain the Varoma mode with a left turn and spoon speed.
  • After this time, add the broth into the glass and season to taste with sweet paprika, salt, saffron or curry. These last two spices will add color to the rice, so if you don’t have any you can add a little food coloring.
  • Continue cooking the chicken by programming the Thermomix in Varoma mode turning to the left for 9 minutes and at spoon speed.
  • Remember that you can use a broth made with concentrated pills, water, or your own homemade poultry or vegetable broth.
  • Now we add the rice in the glass and cook it with the chicken for 8 minutes, with the temperature at 100º, turn to the left and speed 1.
  • Now to finish our rice with chicken, add the peas and program again for 5 more minutes maintaining the temperature at 100º with a left turn and spoon speed.
  • Tip: To make rice with chicken we recommend using bomb rice or similar and if you want, you can also add corn along with the peas.
