- 1 Lemon (juice and zest)
- ½ onion
- 2 cod fillets
- 200 milliliters of whipping cream or milk cream
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 jet of Oil
How to make Cod with lemon sauce:
- Before starting with the preparation of our cod fillets in sauce, we must prepare the ingredients. So, grate the lemon peel and squeeze to reserve the juice and zest separately, also chop the onion finely.
- Heat a little oil in a saucepan or heavy-bottomed pot. When it is hot, fry the cod fillets, sealing on both sides. Once ready, remove from the pot and reserve.
- Next, in the same pan, fry the onion with a pinch of salt until it is well poached. Add a little more oil if necessary.
- After a few minutes we add the lemon zest and stir everything for a few minutes.
- To finish making the lemon sauce, add the lemon juice to the preparation and let it evaporate a bit. Then we incorporate the cream and mix the ingredients very well until smooth.
- At this point we will put the fillets in the saucepan with the sauce and cook over medium heat for a few minutes so that they absorb the sauce a bit and have more flavor.
