I have used onion, green pepper, red pepper, garlic and tomato to make the sauce but you can use other things and make your own brown rice with vegetables and mushrooms to your liking. Cheer up and enjoy eating!
Ingredients to make Brown Rice with Mushrooms:
- ½ onion
- ½ green pepper
- 1 clove garlic
- ¼ red bell pepper
- 80 grams of brown rice
- 150 grams of sliced mushrooms
- 4 tablespoons of fried or natural tomato
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 splash of extra virgin olive oil
- 1 pinch of dried parsley
How to make Brown Rice with Mushrooms:
- The first thing we have to do to make this brown rice with vegetables and mushrooms is to boil water with a pinch of salt.
- When it starts to boil, add the brown rice, stir it a little and let it cook for about half an hour over medium heat.
- Meanwhile, peel and chop the onion and the clove of garlic, and also clean and chop the green and red pepper, and begin to poach all the vegetables in a pan with a splash of oil.
- Put very little so that the diet brown rice with mushrooms has fewer calories.
- When the onion is transparent, add the sliced mushrooms and continue frying all the ingredients of the brown rice with vegetables.
- Once the vegetables and mushrooms are well done, add the fried or natural tomato to the pan.
- If you choose the natural tomato, the brown rice with mushrooms will have much fewer calories but it will take longer to cook because you will have to wait for it to cool well.
