How to make Microwave Pumpkin:

  1. Cut the top and bottom ends of the pumpkin.
  2. Cut it in half by cutting it vertically with a sharp knife.
  3. Tip: The skin of the pumpkin is very tough and you need a knife that cuts well.
  4. Empty the vegetable removing all the seeds with the help of a soup spoon.
  5. Cut it horizontally and then into several pieces until you get several pieces more or less the same size, this way the microwave roasted squash will take less time to cook.
  6. Tip: The larger the pieces, the longer they will take to make, but it will also be easier to remove the skin later.
  7. Place all the pieces on a plate and wrap it completely with transparent paper, making sure to close the edges well.
  8.  In this case, I have not removed the skin because I will do it in the next step, but if you prefer, you can remove it beforehand and cook the peeled pumpkin in the microwave.

  10. Put the plate in and cook the pumpkin in the microwave for about 10 minutes on full power. Then take out the plate and you will see that it is like everything compressed.
  11. Don’t worry, it’s normal. Just make sure you remove the cling film carefully so as not to burn yourself, because as soon as you open it, all the steam that is still inside will come out and it will be very hot.
  12. With the help of a fork and a spoon or a knife, peel the cooked vegetable being careful not to burn yourself and use it for whatever you want! For example, you can make a simple puree or an original risotto.
  13.  You can also season the pumpkin in the microwave with the spices or aromatic herbs you want, or with a little oil and salt, and you will get an exquisite and healthy starter.
