Ingredients to make Baked Tuna:

  • 1 kg of fresh tuna in a piece
  • 1 glass of oil
  • salted
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 onion
  • 1 garlic
  • 1 teaspoon chopped parsley
  • 1 bay leaf
  • ground pepper
  • 1 sprig of thyme
  • Juice of 1 lemon

How to make Baked Tuna:

  1. Put the oil in a large bowl, together with the lemon juice, the onion cut into rings, the ketchup, the whole garlic, the parsley, the thyme, the bay leaf, the salt and the pepper.
  2. Mix everything well and introduce the skinless tuna into this preparation.
  3. Leave the fish in the marinade for 1 hour, turning the piece from time to time so that the tuna is well marinated.
  4. After this time, drain the marinated tuna, place it in a baking dish and sprinkle it with 5 or 6 tablespoons of the strained marinade juice.
  5. Put the tuna in the oven at an average temperature between 150 and 180 ºC for approximately 30 minutes.
  6. Tip: The time of the tuna in the oven can vary depending on the power and the state of your appliance.
  7. Serve the baked tuna hot, cutting it into portions and accompany it with some baked potatoes with rosemary and a good green salad
