  • 100 grams of icing sugar
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • for the pudding
  • 200 grams of flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 milliliters of milk
  • 3 oranges
  • 200 grams of sugar (1 cup)
  • 100 grams of butter
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 80 milliliters of heavy cream (optional)
  • Vanilla essence (optional)
  • Salt

How to make orange pudding in a blender:

  1. First, add the butter (previously melted and at room temperature), the eggs, the sugar and the juice of one of the oranges in the blender. Preheat the oven to 170ºC.
  2. Next, cut the other orange and remove the seeds. Place them in the blender next to the peel. Blend very well. You may have to stir a few times, but it will blend together.
  3. Tip: Depending on how much orange flavor you want the pudding to have, you can add an extra orange.
  4. Also add the vanilla extract if you are going to use it, as well as the salt, and continue mixing.
  5. Add the flour, milk, milk cream and baking powder. Continue blending until the mixture is smooth and lump-free.
  6. Tip: Make sure you add the flour a little at a time, otherwise you might have trouble getting it to mix.
  7. Pour the mixture into a greased pudding dish with butter or oil and floured. Place it in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. When it’s ready, remove it and let it cool out of the fridge.
  8. Tip: Each oven is different, so keep checking how the pudding is going until, when you poke it with a knife, it comes out dry.
  9. To prepare the orange glaze, squeeze more orange juice and gradually mix it with the icing sugar.
  10.  Take care that it is not so liquid that it drains, nor is it so thick that it is difficult to spread.
  11. You can balance by adding more sugar or more juice until you reach the perfect glaze. Later, pour the glaze over the pudding and let it dry. Now you can serve
