Ingredients to make Italian Mondonguito:
- 500 grams of tripe cooked in strips
- 500 grams of French fries in strips
- ½ cup of cooked peas
- 50 grams of Parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup of oil
- 1 unit of Onion
- 1 unit of peeled tomato
- 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon ground paprika
- 1 cup of Mushrooms
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 pinch of salt
How to make Italian Mondonguito:
- Boil the tripe in salted water.
- After a reasonable time remove it, drain it and cut it into strips.
- In another pot you prepare the dressing.
- You fry the onion, tomato, tomato paste, pepper, mushrooms and bay leaf.
- You let it cook with a little water and add its point of salt.
- When it has broken the boil, add the tripe, peas and carrots.
- Once ready, add the chips, sprinkling Parmesan cheese, and if you wish, chopped parsley.
- Serve it accompanied by a good portion of grained white rice.
