Keep reading and practice step by step the preparation of this spreadable tuna sauce that you can give a lot of uses to. An easy, economical recipe that will surely get you out of trouble. We hope you enjoy this cream of tuna for appetizers or other starters as much as we do… have a good meal!

Ingredients to make Tuna Cream Spread:

  • 1 can of tuna in oil
  • 50 grams of surimi or crab sticks
  • 1 sprig of chives
  • 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper

How to make Tuna Cream Spread:

To make this spreadable tuna sauce we will need a mixer, chopper, blender or any kitchen robot that you usually use to crush and mix food. With this in mind, start by placing the tuna in the glass.

Tip: I have used tuna in oil, but if you prefer to make a lighter appetizer, you can use natural tuna.

Place the crab sticks or surimi in the glass as well. You can use any crab substitute, even frozen ones.

Trick: These products are made with processed fish meat and have a flavor that children usually like very much.

Now it is the turn of the chives. Also known as chives, which is a family of onions and garlic, but unlike these, the stem of the chive is used, since the bulb has a very strong flavor that makes it useless for cooking.

Tip: Add another aromatic herb to the tuna snack sauce of your choice if you want.

To finish adding the ingredients to make this rich tuna cream for appetizers, all that remains is to add the mayonnaise and season with a little salt and pepper to taste.

Remember that if you have used raw tuna to make light tuna cream, you can make your own light mayonnaise following the recipe for vegan mayonnaise or homemade egg-free mayonnaise. Blend everything until you get the consistency you like best and taste before finishing to correct the seasoning if necessary. If you like it spicy, you can add a few drops of Tabasco sauce or a little pink pepper. Refrigerate the tuna cream spread in the fridge and remove it just before serving. This canapés tuna pasta is ideal to serve with crackers at a family gathering or even to prepare sandwiches.
