Tacos of nopales to the Mexican

This time we bring you an exquisite, practical, economical and healthy recipe for some  nopal tacos with cheese, which is a delicious and healthy dish since the nopal is a vegetable full of fibers and minerals such as magnesium. And potassium, important for muscle function.

Ingredients to make Mexican Nopal Tacos:

  • 8 pieces of medium Nopal
  • 12 pieces of corn tortilla
  • 3 pieces of red tomato
  • 1 piece of white onion
  • 1 pinch of oregano
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • 150 grams of string cheese

How to make Mexican Nopal Tacos:

For the preparation of these delicious Mexican nopal tacos you will need these ingredients. We are going to start our preparation, taking the nopales, wash them perfectly and chop them into small cubes of approximately 1.5 cm on each side.

Once ready, we cook the nopales : for this we place them in a saucepan with boiling water together with a piece of onion, add a pinch of baking soda and a pinch of salt, let them cook until they are very soft. Once ready, remove them from the hot water and set aside for a moment. On the other hand, we take the red tomato and the onion and chop them finely, and once ready, place them in a pan with previously heated oil and let them fry until the onion is transparent, and also add a pinch of salt.

Once the red tomato and onion are ready, add the chopped and cooked nopales, as well as a pinch of oregano, and integrate perfectly well. Add a pinch of salt and let them cook over medium heat for 10 more minutes. After this time we add the shredded string cheese, and integrate so that it melts.

AND READY! We fill our corn tortillas with the nopales stew with cheese and serve our hot  Mexican-style nopales tacos accompanied by our favorite sauce.
