This is a delicious way to cook lentils, hummus is a very rich sauce that can be eaten alone or even mixed with raw vegetables. It is also very delicious with toast; below we will show you how to make a lentil hummus step by step and with photos.

 

Ingredients to make Lentil Hummus:

  • 200 grams of Lentils
  • 1 clove garlic
  • ½ unit of Lemon
  • 2 dessert spoons of sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon purple onion
  • 1 sprig of Coriander
  • 1 jet of olive oil
  • 1 pinch of Cumin
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper

How to make Lentil Hummus:

1.Before making this vegan hummus with lentils dish, the first step is to get all the ingredients ready.

2.In a pot with water and a pinch of salt, cook the lentils over medium heat for 30 minutes until the grain is soft.

3.Once they are ready, blend the lentils to make the hummus with the garlic clove and a little cooking water, blend until you get a slightly homogeneous paste.

4.Add a few branches of coriander, lemon juice, salt, pepper and cumin, blend very well for a few minutes.

5.Start adding the olive oil little by little the amount that is necessary to obtain a very homogeneous mixture, when it is ready, finally add the sesame seeds and blend.

6.Serve the lentil hummus and cover with olive oil, finely chopped red onion and fresh coriander, ideal to accompany with pita bread.
